QOSMO MODULAR XDYNA
Distortion / Voltage Controlled Amplifier.
A highly creative vca tool. First the signal in, usually audio or a slow signal down to 1 Hz is amplified, you can control the amplification with the “Drive” potentiometer, then is clipped, you can set the upper and lower bound by means of two trimmers, and finally is modulated by the envelope you feed in the CV in. “Offset” potentiometer is used as the initial gain of the VCA stage. “CV In” potentiometer is a attenuverter for the CV in. Polarity led is really useful to check for CV in wave.
VCA stage is made with a high quality vactrol to obtain a different “flavour” respect to the VCAs on the market.
You can feed a envelope in CV in between 0 and +5V, in this case the result is between 0 and unity, or if you prefer a bipolar signal between -10V and +10V, the “Offset” potentiometer can manage also this, the center position means it adds 0V.
Built with high quality components (1% metal film resistors, bicolor led, aluminium panel with silver finish, …) this VCA is ideal in any setup. It’s a creative tool for amplitude modulation, with longer tails thanks to the vactrol.
Made in collaboration with many musicians, that needed something quick and of good quality to shape the sound, or even slow signal down to 1 Hz.
